MAP OF THE COURSE
Between land and sea, with its 200 ha of marshes, dunes and reed beds, the Marquenterre Park is
a preserved area that will seduce you with its unique landscapes and natural riches.
At the heart of the Natural Reserve of the Somme Bay, site of the Conservatoire du Littoral, the
Parc is a privileged place for the observation of nature and animal and plant species.

Inside the park, 1 course and 13 observation posts allow you to easily observe birds from all over Europe or back from Africa.

All along the route and in the observation posts, the naturalist guides observe the birds with you and help you to decipher their wild life.
All year round, we also offer you the opportunity to experience the Park differently for unique experiences: To discover in the activities section.

So follow the guide and visit our home soon.

Climate change, population dynamics or environmental management are the main factors which mean that today's observations are not the same as yesterday.
The exhibition traces some changes in the Park's avifauna over the last 50 years.

LIFE
In 50 years, the number of looks between humans and wild species is incalculable.
From trails or observation posts or even from photo booths we look at a living being…. and vice versa !

10 CENTURIES OF HISTORY OF MARQUENTERRE IN ONE THREAD
Once a commune, today a territory, Marquenterre, from Authie to the Somme, has experienced many twists and turns.
Dams, pine plantation, introduction of mammals, creation of a polder...
A timeline told on a timeline illustrated by drawings by Thomas DeCointet.
Unpublished projection of archive images.

“A life-size story: Marquenterre”
The Regional Natural Park, in partnership with the Archipop association, has undertaken work to promote images from private archives of Marquenterre.
With the participation of Paul Jeanson, the sound and visual archives are brought together in this short documentary film.
