Jardins de Valloires | What to do in bay, holidays, weekend & holiday

Backed by a Cistercian abbey of the 12th century, these contemporary landscaped gardens were created by Gilles Clément to enhance this historic site with wild beauty and to welcome the exceptional collection of plants from Asia and North America of the nurseryman Jean- Louis Cousin.

Valloires is a garden - a collection to discover in all seasons, during the events that punctuate the year or at the restaurant Table gardener.

Evolving over the months, the Jardins de Valloires are as fascinating for the collector as for the general public whose all senses are solicited in the 5 gardens.

JARTDINS

The 'jARTdins' project was born in 2020 from the idea of combining nature and culture within the framework of Sociocultural Education courses at the Agricultural Institute of Hazebrouck.
A workshop of artistic practices is set up with Yann Monel, artist photographer associated with the project and the association Arterre.
The exhibition, the result of this collective work, transposes a reflection on the symbolism of the garden in the collective imagination, the place of the garden in literature, lifestyles, art as well as landscape and environmental approaches, in particular that of Gilles Clement.

Monday, April 10 at 8:30 a.m.

Listening to the songs and in a privileged moment, learn with a guide, to identify the birds!

Before the Gardens open to the public, when the birds are singing the most, take the opportunity to listen and identify common garden birds. The same species are surely in your home!
