Enjoy the treasures of the Baie de Somme
1 week or more
A week’s vacation on the Baie de Somme is your chance to combine rest and relaxation with the discovery of a remarkable natural and cultural heritage.
By all means, stop for a short while at the Baie de Somme Rest Area: The "Destination Baie de Somme" shop can provide you with helpful information about this distinctive area. Then go see the Atlantic harbour seals with the guides from the Maison de la Baie de Somme et de l’oiseau. For a more laid back outing, take a horse drawn carriage in the Parc du Marquenterre to see its unique fauna and flora from a different vantage point. For a change of pace, take a trip back in time to the workaday world of nineteenth century Picardy at the musée Picarvie to learn about the region’s ancestral traditions.
For a well-deserved rest, let yourself be tempted by a Turkish bath or sauna session at the Belle Dune Aquaclub. Then go see the especially complete plant collection at the Jardins de Valloires, one of the most beautiful gardens in France. Treat yourself to an 18 hole-game of golf or learn how to play golf with a Golf de Belle Dune trained instructor. At the end of your day, return to the serenity of the Cap Hornu Hotel-Restaurant** to take advantage of its recreational equipment.
Whatever you decide to do, the "Destination Baie de Somme" sites guarantee your stay will be unforgettable.
