Golf de Belle Dune

One of the best golf courses in France

Between the sky and earth, in the Marquenterre dunes, the Belle Dune Golf Course has been listed as an "Opus golf" exceptional golf course.

Eco-designed and eco-managed, preserving the environment is a major issue. It is also integrated to the Pierre & Vacances holiday village.
8 holes, Par 71, impeccable greens, pleasant practice areas, leafy fairways bordered by dunes planted with beachgrass and maritime pines... It has nothing less than the Irish and Scottish "Links". Thanks to this it has become internationally renowned.
Here, the beauty of the landscape complements the technical subtleties. Simply extraordinary!

Eco-design

The golf course is 6 kilometres long by 50 metres wide, so approximately 50 acres. The course blends in with its natural environment, the hundreds of acres of the Marquenterre. It is integrated to the Belle Dune eco-village, a pilot site for environmental preservation in partnership with WWF. Aware of the importance of preserving the environment, the golf course team reduced the use of phytosanitary products. The greens are watered automatically using water from the artificial lagoon.

Play in the great outdoors

At the heart of the dunes, the Belle Dune Golf course is an example of respect for the environment and the ecosystem.

Open your eyes

Between the holes, large natural areas are maintained and their biodiversity is managed in the long term. On the course, players are made aware of the protection of natural areas. Hawthorn, buckthorn, horse mint... Each hole is named after a local plant. In addition to the remarkable flora, it isn't rare to see a deer or a pheasant just close to a fairway.

The Belle Dune Golf Course is an ideal venue for conferences. Take breaks from work by relaxing on the green.

Festive parties

Golf at everyone's reach

In Belle Dune, experienced golfers can enjoy themselves. The 18 hole course covers approximately 75 acres. Euloge Hotab, professor and golf coach explains: "from the first shots, you discover a wonderful quality golf course with a strong personality".

Pleasure for all swings

Playing in the dunes requires a special touch and skill, the reactions of the ball are so unpredictable. As many golfers will tell you, it's not a good idea to leave the fairways, unless you want to lose your balls between the dunes and shrubs!
At the start and end of the course, the game is played between the pines, where precision is needed. From hole number 5, tactics and power give way to dexterity, to defeat the landscape of the dunes.

Packages for all levels

In Belle Dune, the varying levels of technical skill on the greens enable everyone to progress at their own rhythm, whether they be experienced or beginners, children or adults. A Golf course that respects the environment

Belle Dune Golf course is in the Marquenterre dunes, some of the most beautiful in Northern Europe. Now, as when it was created, respecting the ecosystem is its primary concern. The course has been designed to enable players to discover and respect an exceptional environment and enjoy the game.
The Belle Dune golf course does all it can to limit the impact on the environment.

- The golf course uses a sound water management system to water the greens. A programme is developed according to rainfall, the irrigation software then supplements the needs of each game area. It also uses the recycled water from the towns of Quend-Plage and Fort Mahon Plage.
The course covers 74 acres and is in a 170 acre site that the golf centre can maintain: managing the dune slacks, opening up the environments...
They also use organic fertilisers whenever possible.

Our visitors' comments

the opinion of Juliet on Golf de Belle Dune
44 years: A character to play golf absolutely

Golf de Belle Dune is perfectly maintained. The landscape is varied and breathtaking with holes in the forest, others on the moor. The club house is in the English style with changing rooms very clean, very "class". The greens might be a little faster but they are large and free of pitch. The fairways are of high quality. Play Belle Dune worth the visit. The English are very numerous, but fair play (of course). The menu "club" of the club house is very fine for a very reasonable price. The green fees are affordable, especially when coming from the Fiacre, hotel located three minutes by car.

the opinion of Pierre on Golf de Belle Dune
47 years: What a place!

Beginner and residing in P & V I could not resist trying this course ranked among the 20 most beautiful golf course in France with some trepidation ... Share the game with a very nice member and patient journey made almost no waiting 4:30 ET (it changes the idf). The course was in perfect condition, beautiful scenery, varied holes, the beautiful green ... a brief moment of pure happiness (even if the score was less).
