Enjoy the Baie de Somme services
Like a beacon, the wind turbine at Sailly-Flibecourt, between exits 23 and 24 is a rallying point for users of the A16 motorway who are heading for the coast. It invites you to take a break in the Baie de Somme services.
A resting and service area, it is also a showcase for local talents and a tourism information centre.
Here you can refill, eat, prepare your trip to the bay, play with your children as well as stroll through and observe the local natural environment.

Developed in an environmentally responsible way and is certified High Environmental Quality, you will spot the service station from afar, thanks to its 40 metre high wind turbine. It supplies part of the electricity needed by the site.
On the site's 50 acres, the priority is nature: a pond is home to ducks and fish, canals, footpaths, starting points for hikes and cycle tours. The building, in wood and glass, perfectly blends into the area.
FILL UP ON IDEAS
At the Baie de Somme services, you will find all the usual facilities: petrol station and Shell store, the Arche cafeteria and café.
Nature break
With its High Environmental Quality certificate, the services are an ideal place to relax. Take a walk by the water and watch the ducks and fish, then take the kids to the playground.
View of the Bay
To widen your horizon, climb to the top of the belvedere, and enjoy the unique view of the surrounding landscapes from the terrace. Inside, a film on the Bay is screened in a projection room.
By bicycle
The motorway are a great place to start a bike tour and go to the seaside via the country roads.

Cool service station on way to Calais
A breath of fresh air in motorway service stations! Why can't there be more inspired settings like this all over the UK too! It felt more like a holiday venue than a simple stop off for the loo! Just a shame I was so absorbed in it all that I forgot my handbag hanging inside the loo door.... Thank you to the very honest person who handed it in, and to the Sandrine at the Boutique who is posting it back to me, with all its contents intact! xx

Amazing that area!
This is better than conventional concrete paved areas and poorly maintained ... A bit of nature on the highway and you breathe better!

It's really a nice place, a goal output.
The area of highway in the Bay of Somme is arranged and landscape can be accessed by road, by foot, bicycle or car. It contains all relevant information to the tourist and you walk around the lake. You can also climb to the lookout where we see in the distance the Bay of Somme. There is a cafeteria and a gift shop selling local crafts and ... We go to bike for fun and we are welcomed by many ducks, huge carp coming when they see your reflection.
